About this policy
Rilo Digital is a web-design and digital-services business run by Edgar Carrillo in Fortuna, Humboldt County, California. This policy explains how information shared through this website and related business communications is handled.

Information you share
When you send a project inquiry, you provide your name, email address and project details. You may also choose to share your business name, existing website and services of interest. If you contact me by email or phone, I receive the information you choose to share in that conversation.
Please share only what is needed to discuss your project. Do not include passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information in an inquiry.
This website also uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, such as which pages are viewed and what kind of device is used. It collects this through cookies and does not include what you type into the inquiry form.
How information is used
I use the information you provide to respond to your questions, understand your goals, prepare proposals and communicate about possible work. If we work together, I may also use it to deliver services, manage the project and maintain related business records.
Information may also be needed to troubleshoot an issue, protect business communications or address a legal obligation.
When information may be shared
Limited information may be handled by service providers that support the business, such as providers used for website hosting, email or project administration. Inquiry form messages are received through Netlify, the site’s hosting provider, and images on this site are served by Cloudinary, an image-hosting service. Any sharing should be limited to what is needed for the relevant task.
If a specialist needs information to help with your project, I will discuss that involvement with you. Information may also need to be disclosed when required by law or to address a security or legal issue.
How long information is kept
Inquiry and project information is kept for as long as it is reasonably needed to follow up with you, provide services and maintain appropriate business records. The length of time depends on the nature of the information, the status of our work and any legal or accounting needs.
When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or securely disposed of. You can contact me to ask about information associated with your inquiry or project.
Keeping information secure
Reasonable care should be taken to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No website, email system or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. If your project requires sensitive information, contact me first so we can discuss an appropriate way to share it.
Privacy questions & requests
You can ask what personal information I hold about you, request a correction or ask for deletion by contacting Edgar Carrillo, owner of Rilo Digital. Include enough context to help locate your inquiry or project, but please do not send sensitive documents in your initial message.
I may need to confirm your identity before responding. Some records may need to be kept for ongoing services, business recordkeeping or legal obligations; if that affects your request, I will explain.
